Hello Family,
Blessings, love, and peace to you and your family.
Blessings, love, and peace to you and your family.
It is a day for honouring the men and women who have died while on duty with the US military and it is a day where Americans across the country pay their respects, often by visiting military cemeteries or memorials.
I hope you had a good and safe day and enjoyed it with family and friends.

How many days can you count this month that things didn't go the way that you planned for them to go. I don't mean that in a way where you received one wonderful delightful surprise after another.
I'm talking about when everything that you attempted to do went south, down the tubes or up in smoke. Have you ever had a day like that. I have. You know what? When we have those days, I bet at the end of the day when we sit down or lay down and if we really think about it, we can find at least one thing to be thankful for. The next time you have one of those days stretch yourself and do this exercise. Find one thing to be thankful for. Hopefully, it will help you feel better and sleep better. Let's always give thanks, even during the trying times. Blessings to you all. Have you ever been scammed or tricked into something? If you have, I'm sure it wasn't a good feeling.
I've been scammed several times in the last few weeks. Both were on Messenger. The first time, I realized it was a scam right away. The person on the other end told me she had received thousands of dollars, just by applying. It was quick, simple and easy. So I asked (my supposed friend) a few questions. She responded immediately to every question that I asked. It dawned on me with her disabilities, there is no way that she can be responding to me so quickly. So I ended the conversation. The second time I wasn't so fortunate. I received a message from my cousin, (supposedly). She asked me if I had applied for the grant that was so easy to get. The other person said, all you have to do is give a little information. We chatted back and forth for a while, because I thought it was my cousin. Then she said I need to send my information, right now. Which is usually a red flag when somebody tells you you have to do it right now or it's going away. (That should have been a sign). So I sent the information requested, general information. I was also asked for my drivers license or a picture ID. Which I didn't feel even a little bit comfortable doing. So I sent a photo ID with just my name. So then I was told that I had to pay a small fee $1,500. Now in comparison to the amount of money that I was supposed to be getting it was a small amount, but I didn't feel comfortable sending it. So I decided to call my cousin to ask her if she had been chatting with me on Messenger. She said no it wasn't me. I haven't contacted you in a few months. Boy did I feel stupid, hurt, violated and scammed big time. Even though that happened I'm glad it wasn't worse. I didn't send a picture of my drivers license and I didn't send any money. Thank God. There were things that I questioned, but ignored because it was my cousin. So be aware! If you are specious of something that you are receiving from a friend or relative. please use your better judgment. It will save you in the end. Did you ever hear anyone say that somebody was afraid of their own shadow? What does that mean to you? What does that mean in reference to your life, the fears that you hold on to? If you meditate and ponder on what's going on in your life, you may discover that you have fears you didn't realize you had.
But the important lesson to learn here is to really look at yourself. What fears are holding you back? What's stopping you from getting to work to start dissolving them? Depending on how big the fear, how deep rooted, how much work you are willing to do and how often you are willing to work on it determines how long it will take to defeat it. However, let me say, it may be something that you never fully get over, but don't just sit or stand there and do nothing. Tell yourself like the Little Engine, I think I can, I think I can. Then start moving out of that fear or at least on the path to kicking it in the butt and making some progress. Don't let fear cut off your blessings, fun, opportunities, friendships and growth. You can experience and enjoy a better life by stepping out on faith. Baby steps, Baby, baby steps. What Are You Afraid Of? What Are You Waiting For? Psalm 118:24 says,
This is the day which the lord hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it. The NIV (New International Version) says, “The lord has done it this very day; let us rejoice today and be glad. This is, also, the day for you try and try harder and if necessary try longer. Don’t give up or quit so easily. Hang on in there. Endure the scorn. Endure the hardship. Endure the pressure, criticism, condemnation, judgement, laughter, taunting, mistakes, lack of (finances, sleep, help, friends or motivation). Endure everything that’s coming your way that’s telling you to quit, It’s too much and too hard, you can’t do this by yourself. Push, push on through the pressure, push on through the pain, fatigue, through being weary and spent. Push on through the tears, because you can do it. Because you can do all things, you can do all things because God is and will give you even more strength. Because you are going to wait upon the Lord who will renew your strength, you will mount up with wings as eagles, you will run and not be weary, you will walk and not faint. This is the day that the Lord hath made for you to: Win Soar Endure Show up and show out Come through with flying colors Give, sow and reap Rejoice See the miracles Pray Praise Pull yourself up by the bootstraps Wipe away those tears Encourage somebody else Testify Sing Dance And live! Because this is the day that the Lord hath made. |
