Hello Family,
Blessings, love, and peace to you and your family.
Blessings, love, and peace to you and your family.
Boy a lot can happen in a lifetime. Not only in a lifetime, but in a few weeks, days or hours. Bat your eye and Boom, something happened that changed your life forever.
Sometimes, we don't like change, but in order for us to grow, change is necessary. The changes may cause joy, sadness, pain or glee, but Ecclesiastes 3 tells us that there is a season for everything. Ecclesiastes 3 1 To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven: 2 A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted; 3 A time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up; 4 A time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance; 5 A time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together; a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing; 6 A time to get, and a time to lose; a time to keep, and a time to cast away; 7 A time to rend, and a time to sew; a time to keep silence, and a time to speak; 8 A time to love, and a time to hate; a time of war, and a time of peace. You may not like the change, but in the end it will work out for your good. I guess if we embrace the changes, that will help us deal with them a little easier.

Do you know anyone who had a birthday party and everybody got gifts except the person whose birthday was being celebrated?
That’s what we do, every year, to Jesus. We buy gifts for family, friends, co-workers, bosses, people we like, and people we don’t like. Who does that? Most of us. We run around frantically. Some walk calmly. We max out our credit cards. We try to remember everyone on the list, then we remember people we forgot to put on the list. We bake, we decorate, we have or attend parties. We overeat, we drink too much, we travel, we send cards, and we give all kinds of gifts, usually expecting one in return. Whew! We don’t have to do it—at least, we don’t have to do it all. It’s not their birthday and it’s not yours. We make ourselves sick, broke, and weary when we don’t need to. Plus, you still didn’t get a gift for the one whose birthday we’re celebrating. If you got Him a gift, you could save yourself a lot of time, money, and energy. The gift that He wants is love. Love Him, love your neighbor and yourself. Price tag free! Free for all. Free to give and free to receive. It’s Christmas and your traditions don’t have to change, unless you want them to. But please remember to give a gift to the One whom we are supposed to be celebrating. That gift is love—love to all, every day, and not just on Christmas. Happy Birthday, Jesus. without some help and/or support. Help from God, a family member watching the children, a friend giving or lending you money, someone bringing you food, a co-worker helping you with a report or a million other scenarios. So there shouldn't be any way that you aren’t saying thank you and thank you again. When praises or thanks go up you best believe that more blessings are coming down. |
